BNP BNP rally in Barishal today
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, Nov 5: BNP's divisional mass meeting in Barishal today. BNP leaders and workers from different districts and upazilas have gathered to participate in it. On Friday (November 4) in the evening, activists took a position at Barishal Bells Park. Leaders and activists are entering the rally venue in groups demanding the release of party chairperson Khaleda Zia.
Mehdi Hasan, a member of the BNP convening committee of Patuakhali's Mohipur police station, said, "I brought a motorcycle three days before the start of the meeting. We are determined to make the next day's rally a success."
Meanwhile, the general secretary of the party, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, has reached Barisal to attend the departmental mass meeting of BNP. Three central leaders went with him. They came to Barisal by plane from Dhaka on Friday (November 4) at 5:30 pm.
Meanwhile, just before the arrival of BNP's central leaders in Barisal, Chhatra League held a motorcycle exercise in the city. Chhatra Dal, Chhatra League and BNP leaders are in such a position that the situation is prevailing in Barisal.
District Chhatra League Vice President Sajjad Serniabat said that BNP organized a dramatic rally in Barisal. The general public is being misled about that assembly.
BNP is holding divisional meetings on various demands including release of Khaleda Zia, caretaker government, dissolution of parliament, resignation of government. Mass gatherings have already been held in Chittagong, Mymensingh, Khulna and Rangpur divisions. The party has five more mass gatherings and a grand gathering program in Dhaka. Among them, there are programs in Barisal on November 5, Faridpur on November 12, Sylhet on November 19, Comilla on November 26, Rajshahi on December 3 and Dhaka on December 10.
