BNP to go on 12-hr strike tomorrow

Dhaka, Dec 17: BNP has called a 12-hour strike tomorrow, Monday (December 18).

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint general secretary of the party, announced the programme in an online press conference on Saturday (December 16) evening.

BNP is agitating to demand the resignation of the current government and elections under a non-partisan government. The party's general meeting in Dhaka was foiled amid violence on October 28. Since then, the party has returned to strike and blockade. They observed several rounds of blockade and strike.

Last Tuesday, BNP had announced a 36-hour blockade. After the blockade programme ended, the party has called another strike.
