Dhaka, May 17: The border will remain closed until the situation in India returns to normal. Health Minister Zahid Maleque said the border was closed and would remain closed until the situation in India returned to normal. He made the remarks at an emergency briefing at the Health Ministry's conference room at the Secretariat on Monday (May 17).

Zahid Maleque said, "Long-distance buses, launch-trains are closed and we will propose to keep them closed. This Eid, although there was a 'lockdown', but still everyone shopped with joy. The Prime Minister's request was that many people celebrate Eid wherever they are. Some followed it, many did not."

He said, "He went home packed on the ferry. Although we didn't want to. He left Dhaka in a hurry and went home. I told him that he was going home in a hurry so that his heart would not break! Because there are many old parents in the house."
