Dhaka, Dec 6: An allegation has been made against the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) for entering the Bangladesh border at Lalmonirhat and beating up a woman. The incident took place in the pocket border area of Singimari Union of Hatibandha Upazila on Tuesday at 2 pm.

Benapole becomes first digital custom house in the country

Dhaka, May 6: Benapole Custom House has launched a new software called Bangladesh Customs Office Management (bCom) to make import-export trade dynamic, prevent revenue evasion and bring transparency in customs. After 50 years of independence, Benapole became the only digital custom house in the country. The software is being used with the approval of the National Board of Revenue (NBR). On the one hand it is saving time, on the other hand it is possible to prevent revenue evasion.

Dhaka, February 12: The rate of so-called 'infiltration' from Bangladesh to India has been declining for the last five years and is practically declining at a huge rate.
