Khaleda Zia's Treatment Cannot do anything about Khaleda Zia's treatment abroad: Asaduzzaman Khan
Dhaka, December 30: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that the government cannot do anything in the case of BNP CHairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's treatment abroad.
"Regarding BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, the law minister said that there is no chance of her being sent abroad under the law. So we can't do anything," the Home Minister made the remarks in response to a question from reporters after his speech as the chief guest at the Golden Jubilee of Independence and Mujib Year celebrations at Chandgaon in Chittagong on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, on the allegation of rape of a female tourist in Cox's Bazar, the minister said, "A case has been registered in the incident in Cox's Bazar. It is under investigation. We cannot comment on the case under investigation. After the investigation, appropriate action will be taken against the culprits."
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, "I heard Major Zia's call on the radio on March 27, 1971 at noon. He said a lot on his own at first. Later, however, he announced in the name of Bangabandhu with amendments. This is the real thing. But Ziaur Rahman himself would be ashamed to hear how the BNP leaders have distorted it and misused the truth. Because he had never spoken so loudly while alive. We have seen a lot since his death. We have endured a lot."
He said, "When the people of Bangladesh remember the heartbreaking incident of August 15, they are shocked. Then Khaleda Zia discovered that her date of birth was 15th August. We have trouble thinking. But her date of birth is 5th September. You have to know history, you have to learn from history."
Chittagong-7 parliamentary constituency Chandgaon, East Sholashahar, Mohra, Panchlaish, West Sholashahar and Amin Industrial Area Awami League jointly organized the event.
