Own Correspondent, Dhaka, February 10: The sky in Dhaka has been covered with thick clouds since Thursday morning.

According to meteorologists, it may rain all over the country on Thursday (February 10), and the rain may stop by the evening. At the same time, from Friday (February 11), the temperature may decrease again and the cold may increase. The cold wave may start somewhere.

Meanwhile, the lowest temperature of 10.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Syedpur on Thursday. The minimum temperature in Dhaka has risen from 13.8 degrees Celsius by 3 degrees to 16.8 degrees Celsius. In the last 24 hours from 6 am on Wednesday to 6 am on Thursday, the meteorological department recorded 1 mm of rainfall in Chuadanga, 1 mm in Kushtia, 1 mm in Rajshahi and 1 mm in Pabna.

Meteorologist Md. Shahinul Islam said it may rain all over the country today, but it is likely to be more in Rajshahi, Khulna, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet. This state of cloud-rain could end by the evening. He said there is a possibility of rain in Dhaka at any time today. Shahinul Islam said that cold wave could start again from tomorrow or the day after.

On the other hand, Mostafa Kamal Palash, a meteorological and climate researcher at Sachkachun University in Canada, citing images obtained from Bangladesh Air Force radar, said that moderate to heavy rains have been lashing Meherpur, Chuadanga and Kushtia districts since 8 am. Due to the cold and heavy winds blowing from north-west to south-east, the night rains initially entered through Rajshahi and Chapainawabganj districts but now the main part of rainfall is moving a little to the south and entering Bangladesh through Kushtia district.

According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the night temperature in the northwestern part of the country may drop by 1-2 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours and it may decrease slightly elsewhere in the country. Daytime temperatures across the country can drop up to 2-3 degrees Celsius.
