CNG stations to remain closed for five hours during Ramadan

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 12 March 2024: CNG stations will be closed for 5 hours from 5 pm to 10 pm in the month of Ramzan till April 6. However, CNG stations will be open round the clock from April 7 to 18 during Eid. The Energy and Mineral Resources Department gave this instruction on Tuesday.

It is said that the closing time of CNG stations has been changed from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm to 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm from the first of Ramadan to April 6, i.e. for a total of 5 hours, to resolve the possible low pressure situation in the gas distribution network during the daily peak hours of electricity demand during the month of Ramadan. is given

Besides, on the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Fitr, arrangements should be made to keep the CNG stations open round-the-clock from April 7 to 18 to facilitate fuel supply in order to maintain normal traffic on the highway. The Department of Energy and Mineral Resources has also informed that CNG stations will remain closed from 19 April to 11 pm as before.
