Comilla marquee vandalism: 4 including Iqbal remanded for 3 days in the third phase

Dhaka, November 4: A court has remanded four people, including Iqbal Hossain- arrested for keeping the Holy Quran inside a Hindu marquee, leading to attack on the minorities during the Durga puja- for three days. 

Judge Chandan Kanti Nath remanded them in custody at 4:15 pm after the Chief Judicial Magistrate took them to court on Wednesday. CID Additional Superintendent of Police Khan Mohammad Rezwan confirmed the information to BSS.

Earlier on October 23, the court granted four-day remand to four accused in the same case, Iqbal Hossain, Ikram, who called 999, Khadem Faisal of the mosque and his associate Humayun.

Earlier on October 13, Iqbal Hossain was identified in the incident of a temporary puja mandap on the north bank of Nanua Dighi in the city in the CCTV footage of the side road and the house. He was brought to Comilla Police Lines from Cox's Bazar on October 22 at noon.
