MRT Line 5 Construction work of MRT Line-5 inaugurated
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 5 November 2023: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the construction work of MRT Line-5 i.e. metro rail from Hemayetpur to Bhatara in Dhaka.
After 3:30 pm on Saturday, she inaugurated the construction work in a function at Concourse Plaza of Motijheel Metrorail station. At the same event, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Agargaon-Motijheel section of the Metrorail.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reached Motijheel in just 25 minutes from Agargaon in the capital by metro rail. She started his journey from Agargaon in this electric high-speed vehicle around 2:41 PM. Then reach the Motijheel end of the railway at 3:06.
It is known that the entire metro rail will be opened for public traffic from Sunday (November 5). First, the metro rail movement of this section will start with the opening of three stations. The stations are - Motijheel, Bangladesh Secretariat and Farmgate.
Officials said that from November 5, trains running from 7:30 am to 11:30 pm will run from Uttara Uttar station to Motijheel in both directions. From 11:30 am the next trains will run only from Uttara to Agargaon. No train will run till Motijheel during this time.
