Country to administer booster doses from June 4 to 10

Dhaka, May 31: The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has announced a nationwide drive of the anti-coronavirus booster dose from June 4 to 10 to prevent the Covid-19 infections. At this time, everyone aged 18 years and above can go to the nearest vaccination center and take booster dose.

This information was given in a notification of the Management Information System (MIS) branch of the DGHS on Tuesday (May 31).

It said that under this campaign, everyone 18 years of age and above will be able to take the third dose or booster dose after four months of taking the second dose.

The announcement further said that the covid vaccine booster dose week will be celebrated across the country from June 4 to 10. A third or booster dose of the covid vaccine can be taken at any of these seven-day nearest vaccination centers. Everyone must come after the mask when coming to the vaccination center.

Vaccination will start from 9 am every day in all vaccination centers. The vaccine card must be brought along to get the vaccine. In addition to the booster dose, the usual routine of covid vaccine (first and second doses) will also continue.

According to the DGHS, the vaccine is an effective solution to prevent Covid-19. To get the full benefits of the covid vaccine, one must take a third or booster dose of the vaccine.
