Dhaka, September 25: Eight leaders, including Jamaat-e-Islami secretary general Mia Ghulam Parwar, were involved in a conspiracy to illegally overthrow the current government and damage the republic's personality or property. They also expressed the view that their ally Chhatrashibir should be prepared for another August rebirth like August 21. Which is directly involved in terrorist activities, creating panic among the people and disrupting public security.

A court has remanded eight leaders, including Jamaat-e-Islami secretary general Mia Golam Parwar, in jail in connection with an anti-terrorism law case. DB police inspector Kazi Wazed Ali, the investigating officer in the case, submitted a court report requesting that the accused be sent to jail. The investigation officer mentioned these things in that report.

The other seven Jamaat leaders who went to jail were Rafiqul Islam Khan, Hamidur Rahman Azad, Naib Amir Maulana ANM Shamsul Islam, Izzat Ullah, Abdur Rob, Mubarak Hossain and Yasin Arafat.

The investigating officer mentioned in the report that the investigation of the case initially revealed that the accused and their associates had gathered at the spot on the day and time of the incident and were conspiring to illegally overthrow the present government, damage the personality of the republic or the property of the republic. The leaflet prepared by them stated that it was not possible to establish an Islamic state by keeping the current head of government alive.

In addition, expressing the view that their affiliate Chhatrashibir should be prepared for the rebirth of another August like August 21 is tantamount to inciting terrorism directly. Which has appeared to create panic among the public and disrupt public safety. Meanwhile, their accomplices Monirul Islam and Abul Kalam Azad have given confessional statements in court involving other accused arrested in connection with the case.

Earlier on September 15, the court rejected the bail pleas of seven people, including Jamaat-e-Islami secretary general Mia Golam Parwar, and sent them to jail in a case filed under the anti-terrorism law.
