Sheikh Hasina Eight more countries congratulate Sheikh Hasina on reelection as Prime Minister
Dhaka, Jan 20: United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Egypt, Luxembourg, Turkey, Singapore, Malaysia and Brazil have congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on her re-election as Prime Minister of Bangladesh for the 4th consecutive term.
In a congratulatory message, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated Sheikh Hasina on her re-election as Prime Minister after the general elections in Bangladesh.
He said, "I am confident that the existing relationship between our two countries based on historical and cultural ties will be deeper and stronger in your new term."
In a separate message, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi extended his warm congratulations to Sheikh Hasina for winning the general election for a new term as Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
"Your re-election to this high office reflects the trust and confidence of the people of your country in your able leadership to achieve further progress for your country," he said.
Abdel Fattah said Egypt and Bangladesh have a long history of friendship and cooperation. He expressed confidence that the bilateral relations between the two countries will be strengthened in the coming years for the mutual welfare of the people of the two countries.
In his congratulatory letter, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva lauded Sheikh Hasina's leadership in her fourth term as prime minister, exemplified by her government's remarkable achievements in social and economic fields. He wished the fifth term of Sheikh Hasina extraordinary success in changing the fortunes of the people of the friendly country.
