Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 23 March 2024: The terrible fire in the godown of sporting goods in Banga Press area of Demra of the capital has been brought under control after eight hours. The fire was brought under control with the efforts of 10 units of fire service. The fire was brought under control at 8 am on Friday (March 22).

Fire Service Headquarters Senior Staff Officer (Media Cell) Md. Shahjahan Shikder said this. He said that the fire in a godown in Demra Bhanga Press area has been brought under control. The fire was brought under control at 8 am. 10 units of fire service brought the fire under control. According to traders, the amount of damage is at least 50 crore rupees.

Earlier, on Thursday (March 21) at 11:30 pm, the fire service received information about a fire in a godown in Demra Bhanga Press area. Fire Service Headquarters Duty Officer Rakibul Hasan told Dhaka Post that at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, we received information that a godown had caught fire on the ground floor of a three-storied building in Demra Bhanga Press area of the capital.

Then the first unit of fire service arrived at 11:45 pm. After that, a total of 10 units from Demra, Postgola and Siddique Bazar fire stations reached the spot and started work to control the fire. Initially, the fire service could not tell the cause of the fire and the amount of damage. However, the businessman says that the damage caused by the fire is at least 50 crore rupees.
