Four divisions likely to experience Nor'westers

Dhaka, April 12: On Sunday, heat waves swept over eight regions and one division. The highest temperature recorded in Rajshahi was 38.5 degrees Celsius. On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has given a hint of Kalbaishakhi (nor'wester) in one region and four divisions, that may be accompanied by hail.

This information was given in the forecast for the next 24 hours on Sunday (April 11) at 6 pm.

According to the forecast, there may be temporary gusts of wind or thundershowers in Comilla, Sylhet, Dhaka, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions. With that there may be scattered hail somewhere.

Elsewhere in the country, the weather will be mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies.

Mild heat wave is blowing over Khulna division including Rangamati, Feni, Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Dinajpur, Nilphamari and Panchagarh areas and it may continue.

Day and night temperatures across the country may remain almost unchanged.

Besides, there is an increase in light pressure in West Bengal and adjoining areas. The normal light pressure of the season is located in the South Bay.
