Dhaka, June 26: Gas will flow to the south through the Padma bridge. And so the work of setting up the gas line of Padma bridge is in full swing. After all the railway slabs of the bridge have been laid, the work of laying the gas line is underway. Work has already started to bring gas pipes from China through Chittagong port to the project area by sea. Pipes are now being laid on both sides of the bridge.

A total of 531 pipes of length 12 meters each have reached Chittagong port by sea from China. From there, five pipes reached the Kumarbhog Construction Yard at Mawa on Wednesday afternoon. The work started in the yard from Friday.

The pipe is being raised about three feet with sandbags along the two heads so that it does not stick to the ground. At the same time, crane lines like trains have also been set up. Because the pipes weighing about 5 metric tons are unloaded from the tailor and removed to the workshop by crane.
