A High Court division bench comprising Justice Mamnoon Rahman and Justice Khandaker Diliruzzaman passed the order on Sunday with a preliminary hearing of the writ petition filed by his other nine children.

The High Court, in the rule, has wanted to know why Karim Uddin Bharsha, who is in the custody of his son Md. Saiful Uddin Bharsha, will not be directed to appear before the court to ensure that he has not been detained outside the legal authority, and, at the same time, why the politician will not be in the joint safe custody of his nine other children (petitioner).

Lawyer Abdul Qayyum said Karim Uddin Bharsha was handed over to one of his sons, Saiful Uddin Bharsha Shimul, in a lower court case. But Saiful Uddin Bharsha Shimul has almost taken his father into custody. He does not allow his other siblings to visit his father.
