School Holidays Holidays in educational institution extended till January 16
Dhaka, December 18: Educational Institutions will remain closed till January 16, Information and Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education MA Khair said on Friday (December 18). However, the leave will not be applicable for Qawmi Madrasas.
He said, "The ongoing leave has been extended again considering the situation. All educational institutions in the country will be closed till January 16. However, Qawmi Madrasa will be exempted from this holiday."
Earlier on Thursday (December 18) at noon, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Zakir Hossain said, "There is no opportunity to open educational institutions at the moment. There is no option but to extend the holidays."
Deputy Minister of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel said, "If the situation is not under control, the leave will have to be increased. If the situation is brought under control, the educational institutions will be opened on a limited scale."
Meanwhile, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the ongoing leave of the educational institution was extended by several steps till December 19. A notification signed by Information and Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education MA Khair on November 12 said that the Ministry of Education has extended the ongoing holidays of all educational institutions in the country till December 19 in view of the global coronavirus pandemic.
Today, Friday, it has been extended by another point till January 16, 2021.
