Dhaka, June 11: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that the caretaker government, backed by an army of 1/11, was forced to release due to movement and pressure. He said he never bowed to anyone, never begged for life.

She made the remarks while visiting the Prime Minister's official residence Ganobhaban on Saturday (June 11) on the occasion of Awami League President Sheikh Hasina's release day.

"Every time I was arrested, I sent letters to the leaders and activists," she said. "I have given instructions to the leaders and workers through letters. I have given a letter to the countrymen. The general leaders and workers of Awami League are always right. I also saw it during my father's time."

Sheikh Hasina said that after returning to the country, she was arrested in 1983 and taken to the DGFI office. "I have never bowed down to anyone, I have never begged for life. I have learnt from my family, from my father, that I will not bow down to anyone, to any wrongdoer. The Awami League has always been pushed upwards."

"The caretaker government is surprised that 2.5 million signatures were collected for my release in 15 days," she said. "This is the Awami League. People are our strength. In the case of BNP, birth is a sin. People are not the strength of BNP."

The head of government said, "I wrote down how to run the country, how to run the party while sitting in jail. I write down plans for how to develop. Today there is electricity in every house."

"We have a budget. In developed countries, the GDP is minus. We put it above 5 percent. Some people cannot take achievement as achievement. Why their misery? We vaccinated for free. Those who have been vaccinated for free are now criticizing."

Sheikh Hasina said, we understand the welfare of the people. "Despite so many obstacles internationally, we have built the Padma Bridge on our own. The father of the nation has made the country independent. This freedom cannot go in vain. We will do our job. Whatever the fate of the common man may change. We will do our job. We have made arrangements for the benefit of the next generation. I have planned for a period of 100 years."
