Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 19 December 2023: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said that if the ballot paper is sent to the center in the morning, doubts about the transparency of the election will be reduced. We have decided that ballot papers will be sent to most centers in the morning. It will increase transparency.

The CEC said this in response to a question from journalists in front of its office at the Agargaon election building in the capital on Monday.

He said, "We decided long ago that as far as possible the ballot paper will be sent in the morning before the start of polling. We have thought a lot about it. But in some areas it will not be possible to send it in the morning. Like remote and remote areas, Haor-Baor areas or Where you have to go by water. Besides, it will not be possible in the islands. I have issued a circular for this. The ballot papers will go in the morning before the polling."

He said, "We will approve the proposals of the returning officers. As far as possible, the ballot papers will go on the morning of the polling day. However, the ballot boxes will go two to four days before. We have to check whether the ballot boxes are transparent or not. For this, there must be a polling agent in the center. The polling agents will have to check and sign. The ballot paper was fresh and everyone should check that the ballot went in the morning. I hope this will clear some doubts about fairness. If there is a remote area, the ballot paper will be sent by helicopter."
