Inauguration of Temporary Liberation War Memorial in Achatgram

On Saturday (March 23) afternoon, he inaugurated the temporary memorial at Uttar Kattali in Chittagong city. The government has planned to build a proposed liberation war memorial on the 45th century site next to the temporary memorial.

According to Chittagong district administration information, on October 28, 2022, the prime minister laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new liberation war memorial and museum on a 30-acre site in North Kattali, near the sea, during the inauguration of the Bangabandhu tunnel under the Karnaphuli river.

Under the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs of the government, it is supposed to be implemented in the next 3-5 years on the model of National Memorial of Savar.

Along with the inauguration of the temporary memorial in Uttar Kattali, the unveiling of the 'Vijay Nishan' memorial and the gathering of the brave freedom fighters were held on Saturday. Minister of Liberation War of the government was the chief guest in the event.

Chittagong District Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman presided over the event as special guests in Chittagong-10 Constituency Member of Parliament Mohiuddin Bachchu, Chittagong-4 Constituency Member of Parliament SM Al Mamun, Liberation War Affairs Ministry Secretary Israt Chowdhury, CMP Additional Police Commissioner AS M Mahtab Uddin. , District Police Superintendent SM Shafiullah, Commander of the Mahanagar Muktijodha Sangsad Bir Muktijodha Muzaffar Ahmad and Acting Commander of the District Muktijodha Sangsad AkM Sarwar Kamal. Bangladesh Mukti Joddha Sangsad Chittagong Metropolitan Thana and Upazila Sangsad Hero Freedom Fighters.
