India's gift vaccine reaches Dhaka

Dhaka, January 21: India's gift of 20 lakh coronavirus vaccine reached Bangladesh's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a special Air India flight at 11:20 am on Thursday (January 21). Earlier, the flight left Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport for Bangladesh at 8 am.

Airport Director Group Captain Touhidul Islam told the media. He said several trucks had already entered through gate number eight of the airport. After the formalities, the vaccines will be taken to the EPI store in Tejgaon.

It was also reported on the Facebook page of the Indian High Commission at 10:12 am. There is a picture of an airplane with vaccines, the destination is Bangladesh! The consignment of covid made in India has left for Bangladesh!

During an exchange of views with media persons at the Prime Minister's Office on Wednesday, Health Services Secretary Md. Abdul Mannan said the gift vaccine would arrive in Dhaka at 1.30 pm on Thursday. These have been transported by Indian airline Air India.
