Dhaka, February 2: Japanese mother Nakano Eriko along with her elder daughter were sent back from Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal Airport on Tuesday midnight. On the other hand, father Imran Sharif with another daughter (middle daughter) is now staying at Women Victim Support Center in Tejgaon. The concerned police and RAB officials said this on Wednesday.

The family court of Dhaka dismissed the case filed by father Imran Sharif seeking custody of the two daughters from Japan. In the judgment given last Sunday, the two children were ordered to be kept in the custody of Japanese mother Eriko Nakano. After that verdict, father Imran Sharif went into hiding with his daughter.

Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of RAB's legal and media wing, said the court ruled that the two children will stay with their mother. Then the Japanese mother made a General Diary (GD) at Gulshan police station saying she could not find her daughter. Based on this, RAB rescued father Imran Sharif, who was hiding with his daughter in Kalachandpur area under Gulshan Police Station of the capital. Then they were handed over to Gulshan police station.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gulshan police station BM Farman Ali said that father Imran Sharif along with Japanese child (maid girl) was sent to Women Victim Support Center in Tejgaon on Wednesday afternoon. They are there now. Imran Sharif's lawyer Abdullah Al Mamun said the father has been kept in the victim support center as the daughter wishes to stay with her father.

On the other hand, the Japanese mother Nakano Eriko tried to leave Bangladesh for the second time with her eldest daughter Jasmine Malika in defiance of the court's verdict on Tuesday night. Immigration police returned them from Shahjalal International Airport around 12:15 AM. Eriko Nakano was turned away by immigration police because of a court ban on her leaving the country, officials said. Earlier too, when this Japanese mother tried to go to Japan with her two daughters, the immigration police turned them away from the airport.
