Dhaka, January 16: Due to the Corona situation, the holidays of all the educational institutions of the country have extended again. The ongoing leave of the educational institution has been extended till January 30. However, Qawmi Madrasa will not be covered under this holiday. Information and Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education MA Khair said this on Friday (January 15).

He said, ‘"The ongoing leave has been extended again considering the situation. All educational institutions in the country will be closed till January 30. However, Qawmi Madrasa will be exempted from this holiday."

The Prime Minister's Office is seeking views from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education on how long the current holiday can be extended after the end of January 16. The Ministry of Education and Primary Education held an online meeting on Thursday (January 14) morning. There is a proposal to extend the leave with the current Corona situation and the opinion of the Ministry of Health.

Meanwhile, the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has prepared a syllabus for giving assignments to educational institutions till April 12. Asked whether the educational institution would reopen before March, NCTB chairman Prof Narayan Chandra Saha said, "We are working on the syllabus." But this assignment has nothing to do with the opening of educational institutions.

Educational institutions in Bangladesh have been closed since March 17 after the first corona patient was identified on March 8 last year.

Earlier, due to Corona, the ongoing leave of the educational institution was extended by several steps till January 16. In view of the global coronavirus epidemic on December 16, the ongoing holidays of all educational institutions in the country have been extended till January 18. It has been extended by one more point till January 30.
