LPG price reduced by Tk 35

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, August 3: Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has decided to reduce the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at the consumer level in the country.

The price of 12 kg LPG cylinder has been reduced by Tk 35. The price is effective from 6 pm on Tuesday (August 2), BERC said in a notification.

According to the notification, the private LPG retail point (consumer level) price has been adjusted by Tk 95.25 per kg without VAT and Tk 101.62 per kg including VAT. Accordingly, the price of 12 kg LPG has been adjusted at the consumer level at the retailer point at Tk 1,219.

Besides, the new price of LPG (auto gas) used in cars has been fixed at Tk 56.85 per litre, which was earlier at Tk 58.46 per litre. BERC fixed the price of LPG for the first time in the country on April 12 last year. Since then the price has been adjusted every month.
