Eid-ul-Azha Main Eid congregation held at National Eidgah
Dhaka, June 29: The main congregation of the holy Eid-ul-Azha was held at the National Eidgah Maidan adjacent to the High Court of the capital. The main Eid congregation started at 7:30 am on Thursday (June 29), and ended at 7:40 am.
Dr. Maulana Mushtaq Ahmed, Khatib of Tezgaon Railway Jame Masjid and Secretary of Islamic Foundation, led the main Eid Jamaat. People from all walks of life including Supreme Court judges, cabinet members, parliamentarians, politicians, diplomats participated in this gathering.
Earlier, the worshipers came to the Eidgah Maidan to participate in the main Eid-ul-Azha congregation through tight security in the rain since morning. The worshipers crossed three check posts in front of Paltan More, Matsya Bhaban and High Court and came to the Eidgah Maidan.
Members of law and order forces including RAB-Police kept a sharp eye on the entrance to Eid Jamaat. The members of the law and order forces allowed the worshipers to enter the Eidgah only after searching them at three places.
