Dhaka, February 4: The tension between the Bangladeshi father and the Japanese mother over the two children has been going on for several years. Last January 29, the court ruled that the two children will stay with their mother. However, Laila Lina, the younger of the two children, said she wanted to stay with her father. The youngest of the three sisters is staying with their grandmother in Japan.

Laila Lina says, I want to stay with my father. I love my father very much. I don't want to go to my mother. Laila Lina said this in front of the reporters while appearing with her father in the subordinate court premises of Dhaka on Thursday. Meanwhile, father Imran Sharif said, Laila wants to stay with me. Don't go to mother. But her mother is creating pressure on her. But she refused to go. I am concerned about that.

Meanwhile, mother Japanese doctor Nakano Eriko came to the court with her elder daughter Nakano Jasmine Malika (11).

Earlier, on the afternoon of January 29, Dhaka Second Additional Assistant Judge and Family Court Judge Durdana Rahman rejected the case filed by father Imran Sharif and ruled that the two children of Japanese origin will remain in the custody of their mother.

Bangladeshi engineer Imran Sharif got married to Japanese doctor Eriko Nakano in 2008. Erico filed for divorce in early 2020 due to marital discord. Three children were born to them in 12 years of marriage. Imran moved to Bangladesh with his two eldest school-going daughters. The younger daughter stayed with Eriko in Japan.

After that, this Japanese woman came to Bangladesh in July last year amid the coronavirus epidemic to take custody of the two girls. If he applied for a writ in the High Court, the judge asked them to come to a compromise. But as the couple failed to reach an agreement, after months of hearings, the High Court decided to keep the two children in the father's custody. Besides, the father is asked to pay the expenses to ensure that the mother can visit the children. Children's mother Nakano Eriko appealed to the Appellate Division against the judgment of the High Court.
