More than 1 crore people left Dhaka for Eid holidays

Dhaka, April 24: One crore 1 lakh 59 thousand 786 sim card users left Dhaka in five days during the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday. At the same time, 27 lakh 90 thousand 791 sim card users came to Dhaka. Post and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar shared this information on his Facebook page on Sunday.

According to the information shared by the minister, the maximum number of sim users left Dhaka on Chaand Raat i.e. April 21. On that day, the number of sims excluding Dhaka was 31 lakh 97 thousand 408. Four lakh 85 thousand 708 people came to Dhaka on Friday (21). 13 lakh 70 thousand 847 subscribers of Grameenphone, 8 lakh 15 thousand 64 of Robi, 9 lakh 81 thousand 241 of Banglalink and 30 thousand 256 of Teletalk were among those who left Dhaka on Friday.

Many people left Dhaka even on the day of Eid. 16 lakh 7 thousand 546 people left Dhaka on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr. And three lakh 99 thousand 181 people entered Dhaka. Among them 7 lakh 29 thousand 450 subscribers of Grameenphone, 3 lakh 15 thousand 613 of Robi, 5 lakh 45 thousand 956 of Banglalink and 16 thousand 527 of Teletalk.

Earlier on 18, 19, and 20 April (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), 53 lakh 54 thousand 832 sim card holders left Dhaka. At the same time, 19 lakh five thousand 902 sim holders came to Dhaka.

Among them, 8 lakh 25 thousand 944 of Grameenphone, 7 lakh 54 thousand 482 of Robi, 8 lakh 28 thousand 96 of Banglalink and 45 thousand 387 of Teletalk users.

On April 19, five lakh 79 thousand 878 sims of Grameenphone, 4 lakh 16 thousand 955 sims of Robi, 6 lakh 58 thousand 252 sims of Banglalink, 17 thousand 560 sims of Teletalk left Dhaka. And on April 18, three lakh 34 thousand 295 of Grameenphone, 3 lakh 2 thousand 284 of Robi, 5 lakh 73 thousand 509 of Banglalink and 18 thousand 190 of Teletalk.
