Road Accident Motorcycle accident kills teen in Pirojpur
Dhaka, November 15: A 16-year-old boy died after he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with an electric pole in Dhanishafa Union of Mathbaria in Pirojpur.
The deceased has been identified as Rabbi, son of Jahangir Farazi. He was a class nine student of Shafa Madhyamik Vidyalaya.
The accident took place on Saturday (November 14) evening in the Tentulbaria area of the union. Two other riders Emon and Rakib were injured at the time.
Mathbaria's Dhanishafa UP chairman Harun Aur Rashid said Rabbi was going to the market with his two friends on his motorbike at around 6pm. At that time, the motorcycle lost control and collided with a power pole in Madhya Tentulbaria area. They were seriously injured.
When they were taken to Mathbaria Upazila Health Complex, the on-duty doctors declared Rabbi dead.
Chanchal Karmakar, a doctor at Mathbaria Upazila Hospital, said, "Rabbi was brought to the hospital dead. The injured Emon and Rakib have been sent to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital after administering first aid."
