New cabinet has 25 ministers and 11 state ministers

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 11 January 2024: The new cabinet is being formed with 36 members. Apart from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, there are 25 ministers and 11 state ministers in this cabinet. Meanwhile, the Cabinet Department has published the list of 36 members of the new cabinet. However, the offices of ministers and state ministers have not been distributed yet.

Full Ministers:

Minister of Liberation War Affairs of the current cabinet AKM Mozammel Haque (Gazipur-1), Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader (Noakhali-5), Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun (Narsingdi-4), Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan (Dhaka-12), Education Minister Dipu Moni. (Chandpur), Local Government Minister Md Tajul Islam (Comilla-9), Law Minister Anisul Haque (Brahmanbaria-4), Information and Broadcasting Minister Mohammad Hasan Mahmud (Chittagong-7), Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumdar (Naogaon-1), Public Administration State Minister Farhad Hossain (Meherpur-1), State Minister for Religion Faridul Haque Khan (Jamalpur-2), Deputy Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury (Chittagong-9) and Science and Technology Minister Architect Yafes Osman (Technocrat) are getting places in the new cabinet.

Among the parliamentarians who are not in the current cabinet are: Muhammad Farooq Khan (Gopalganj-1), Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali (Dinajpur-4), Md. Abdus Shahid (Moulvibazar-4), RM Ubaidul Moktadir Chowdhury (Brahmanbaria-3), Md. Abdur Rahman (Faridpur-1), Narayan Chandra Chand (Khulna-5), Abdus Salam (Mymensingh-9), Md. Jillul Hakim (Rajbari-2), Saber Hossain Chowdhury (Dhaka-9), Jahangir Kabir Nanak (Dhaka-13) and Nazmul Hasan (Kishorganj-6). Samanta Lal Sen is the minister in the technocrat quota.

Ministers of State:

In the current cabinet, Minister of State for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid (Dhaka-3), Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak (Nator-3), State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury (Dinajpur-2), State Minister for Water Resources Zahid Farooq (Barisal-5) are new. The Minister of State is also in the cabinet. Members of parliament who are not in the current cabinet include Simin Hossain (Rimi) (Gazipur-4), Mohammad Ali Arafat (Dhaka-17), Mohibbur Rahman (Patuakhali-4), Kujendra Lal Tripura (Khagrachari), Rumana Ali (Gazipur-3), Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury (Sylhet-2) and Ahsanul Islam (Titu) (Tangail-6) are becoming state ministers in the new cabinet.
