Dhaka, April 29: Kalbaishakhi hit various districts across the country on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, a severe storm swept through the capital Dhaka. At this time the wind starts to blow at a fast speed along with rain. The storm started around 11:15 pm on Wednesday (April 28).

According to the Meteorological Department, it has been raining in Lalmonirhat, Kurigram and Rangpur districts since this afternoon. Kalbaishakhi has happened in Gaibandha district of Rangpur at night. Besides, Sirajganj, Joypurhat, Naogaon and Natore districts may experience temporary gusts or thundershowers at night.

The forecast for the next 24 hours from 6 pm on Wednesday said that there may be temporary gusts / thundershowers in Tangail, Bogra, Comilla and Kishoreganj districts, Rangpur, Mymensingh and a couple of places in Sylhet division. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will be mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies.

Rangamati, Comilla, Feni, Noakhali, Sitakunda, Srimangal and Dinajpur regions along with Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal and Dhaka divisions are experiencing mild to moderate heat waves and may subside in some places.

Daytime temperatures across the country may drop slightly and nighttime temperatures may remain almost unchanged.
