Road Accident Oil tanker collides with motorcycle, kills rider
Dhaka, December 7: A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision with an oil tanker lorry at Baigram Mastur intersection on the Parbatipur-Fulbari regional highway in Dinajpur.
The deceased was identified as Zahid Iqbal, 27, son of Farman Ali of Dalpaliya Dangapara village under Belaichandi union of Parbatipur upazila.
A tanker carrying fuel oil was going to Birampur from Parbatipur around 5 pm on Sunday (December 6). At that time, Zahid was seriously injured when he collided with the tanker approaching from the opposite direction.
He was rushed to Phulbari Upazila Health Complex Hospital. When his condition deteriorated, he was moved to Rangpur Medical College Hospital. He died at 8:30 pm while undergoing treatment there.
Sultan Mahmud of the Barapukuria Coal Mine Police Investigation Center (in-charge) said police had seized the deadly tank lorry. However, the driver and helper of the lorry escaped.
