Dates | TCB One crore families to get dates at a special price
Dhaka, March 8: Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will sell products at a low price to one crore families on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. This activity started on Thursday. Dates have been added to TCB's product list for the first time. The price of dates has been fixed at Tk 150.
At 9:30 am on Thursday, State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu inaugurated the sale of TCB products, including dates, at the Polytechnic ground adjacent to the East Colony Bazaar in the capital's Tibet square. This information has been informed in a notification sent by TCB.
According to the notification, the sale of the second phase on the occasion of Holy Ramadan is starting from today across the country. A consumer with a family card can buy a maximum of two liters of soybean oil, two kg of lentils, one kg of sugar and one kg of dates. TCB will sell soybean oil at Tk 100 per liter, sugar at Tk 70 per kg, lentils at Tk 60, dates at Tk 150 and rice at Tk 30. Distributors will conduct this activity according to the scheduled date and time. Cardholders can buy products from distributors' shops or designated places in their respective areas.
