Dengue Over 1,000 patients undergoing dengue treatment in Bangladesh
Dhaka, August 5: Concerns are growing in size for the country's healthcare sector as dengue fever has picked up pace alongside the surging coronavirus cases. In the last 24 hours, the country registered another 218 dengue patients, of which 208 alone were admitted in hospitals in Dhaka.
According to a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) report, 1,055 patients are currently undergoing treatment for dengue fever in the country.
One thousand and twelve patients are currently admitted in 41 government and private hospitals in Dhaka, while 43 people are undergoing treatment in hospitals across seven other divisions.
Between January 1, 2021 and August 5, the fever has gripped 3,901 people, of whom 2,836 have recovered.
