Rajarbagh Peer Peer of Rajarbag spreading extremism: CTTC fears
Own representative, Dhaka, December 6: The Peer of Rajarbag and his associates are misleading the devout people of the country with fragmentary interpretations of the Qur'an and Hadith and inciting people to kill and so-called jihad in the name of religion. Their activities are similar to those of the militants. There is a danger of extremism and militancy spreading in their (Rajarbag's Peer's devotees) activities.
The CTTC submitted the report in the court following a writ petition filed by businessman Ekramul Ahsan Kanchan and eight others.
The writ petition was heard on Sunday (December 5) by High Court in the bench of Justice M. Inayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman. Lawyers Mohammad Shishir Monir and Emadul Haque Bashir were in favor of the hearing of the writ petition.
