President returns back to Bangladesh from Saudi Arabia visit
Dhaka, July 3: After performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia, President Md Sahabuddin returned to the country. The aircraft carrying the President, his wife Dr. Rebecca Sultana and other family members and accompanying guests landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 1:47 PM on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Freedom Fighters Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen, Dean of Diplomatic Corps, Chiefs of three forces, Inspector General of Police and senior military and civil officers welcomed the President.
The President and his family members went to Saudi Arabia on June 23 on a 10-day visit to perform Hajj as royal guests of the Saudi government. President Sahabuddin reached Medina last Friday night on the last day of the holy Hajj ceremony. From there, the President reached Dhaka on Sunday midnight in a VVIP flight (BG-338) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
Earlier, the Head of State and his wife were seen off at the Prince Muhammad Bin Abdul Aziz International Airport in Madinah by Deputy Governor of Madinah Ohaib Al Shehli, Head of Royal Protocol of Madinah Ibrahim Al Bari and Ambassador of Bangladesh to Saudi Arabia Md. Javed Patwari.
