President urges to increase use of information technology to expedite judicial process

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, June 6: President Md. Abdul Hamid has urged to increase the use of information technology to expedite the judicial process.

He made the remarks while paying a courtesy call on three newly appointed judges of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court at Bangabhaban on Sunday evening. The judges were: Justice Borhan Uddin, Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Krishna Debnath.

After the meeting, Press Secretary to the President Md. Joynal Abedin said this.

The President hoped that the appointment of new judges would speed up the disposal of pending cases in the Appellate Division. Judges will work diligently and sincerely to ensure the image of the judiciary and the justice of the people.

President Hamid said the judiciary should continue its efforts to ensure that the people get justice even in times of pandemic like Covid-19.

Secretary to the President's Office Sampad Baraya, Military Secretary Major General SM Salah Uddin Islam, Press Secretary to the President Md. Joynal Abedin and Joint Secretary Md. Wahidul Islam Khan were present during the meeting.
