Fire Prime Minister said to investigate whether consecutive fire incidents a part of conspiracy or not
Dhaka, April 15: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has asked to investigate whether the fire incidents in various markets are conspiracy or sabotage or not. She said that surveillance should be increased in important markets across the country. The prime minister gave this instruction at the Awami League nomination board meeting at Ganobhaban on Saturday. Her press wing informed.
The Prime Minister said that an investigation should also be conducted to see if the BNP-Jamaat arson-terrorism issue is involved in the fire. Whether they are taking a different approach by causing incidents like fire, should be investigated.
She said, everyone should be more aware. You have to arrange security on your own initiative. All efforts by the government will continue. The fire service shall not be overcrowded while extinguishing the fire. Strict action will be taken in case of any obstruction.
The fire service received information about the fire at the New Super Market in Newmarket at 5:40 am on Saturday morning. At 5:43, the first unit of the fire service reached the spot to control the fire.
Then one by one 30 units joined the fire control. Director General of Fire Service and Civil Defense Directorate, Brigadier General Md. Main Uddin said that the terrible fire came under control at 9:10 am.
On the morning of April 4, a terrible fire broke out in Bangabazar, the capital's largest wholesale clothing market. The fire spread to the surrounding markets. Thousands of shops were burnt to ashes in the fire. Thousands of traders sat on the road. The loss is worth billions of rupees. In the intervening 10 days, several other markets caught fire.
