Karnaphuli Tunnel Prime Minister to inaugurate Karnaphuli tunnel in two phases in Oct and Nov
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, Sept 8: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the two tubes of the Karnaphuli Bangabandhu Tunnel — one in October and the other in November.
Awami League General Secretary and Roads and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said this.
He said, Uttara to Agargaon section of metro rail will be inaugurated in December, and the construction work of metro rail till Motijheel will be completed before December next year.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate two tubes of the Karnaphuli tunnel, one in October and the other in November. Mega projects like our Karnaphuli tunnel will be inaugurated this year.
"Bangladesh-China friendship bridge work has been completed. As many as 87 small and big bridges waiting for the inauguration. There are border roads in many parts of the world, the army has started the construction of a 300 km road on our border. Mountain work is dangerous. There has been a great change in the mountains so that the products from there are able to move quickly to the city," he said.
The Bridges Minister said this at the 'BSRF Dialogue' organized by the Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum (BSRF) at the media center at the Secretariat on Wednesday (September 7) at 11 am. General Secretary Masudul Haque presented the dialogue under the chairmanship of Tapan Biswas, president of the organization.
