The conflict between the party's current chairman GM Quader and the party's main patron Begum Rowshan Ershad is long-standing. This time, the conflict has become more evident regarding the distribution and acceptance of nomination forms.

Thursday was the last day for distribution of party's nomination forms for the national elections. The form is being given from the party's chairman GM Quader's office in Banani. This time, GM Quader is also the empowered leader to finalize the party's nomination. 1 thousand 737 people took the nomination form of the party for four days. However, even at the end of the fourth day, Begum Rowshan Ershad and one of her companions in the team, Mosiur Rahman Ranga, did not take the nomination form.

In such a situation, the party has extended the nomination form distribution time by one more day. The interview of party's nominees is starting from 24 November. On the other hand, the time for receiving the nomination form has also been extended till November 24.

Meanwhile, Jatiya Party (JAPA) has distributed 1 thousand 737 nomination forms in 300 parliamentary constituencies across the country in the next parliamentary elections. The party distributed 227 forms on Thursday (November 23), the fourth day of nomination form sale. The party started selling nomination forms on November 20.

Mahmud Alam, joint office secretary of the party, said that today was the last day for the sale of nomination forms. However, it has been extended by one more day i.e. till November 24. So far Jatiya Party chief patron Rowshan Ershad has not taken the nomination form.

Earlier on November 18, GM Quader and Rowshan Ershad wrote letters to the EC separately. On that day, Begum Rowshan Ershad wrote a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) saying that the Jatiya Party will be part of the Awami League-led Grand Alliance in the upcoming 12th National Parliament Elections.

In the letter, Rowshan Ershad said that he has decided to contest the election as a partner party of the Awami League-led Grand Alliance. It will be an electoral alliance only. Elected MPs of Jatiya Party will follow party decisions. In another letter written to the CEC on the same day, the matter of Jatiya Party coming to the polls was informed. Secretary General of the party. The letter signed by Mujibul Haque Chunnu was sent by e-mail to CEC Qazi Habibul Awal.

In the letter, Chunnu mentioned that the nominee of the political party for the position of Member of Parliament will be nominated and allotted the symbol of the party as the empowered person of the Jatiya Party- Jatiya Party Chairman Golam Mohammad Quader MP.
