Rupganj: Beverage factory fire under control after 29 hours
Dhaka, July 10: The fire at the Hashem Food and Beverage Limited factory in Rupganj, Narayanganj, came under control 29 hours after the blaze. Narayanganj District Deputy Director of Fire Service and Civil Defense Abdullah Al Arefin said this at 11:30 pm on Friday (July 9).
He said the fire was not completely extinguished, under control. The heat of the fire did not go out and some chemicals contained little fire. Dumping work is also left.
Abdullah Al Arefin added, "The operation has been suspended for the night as the fire was brought under control. The rescue operation will continue from Saturday (July 10) morning."

A fire broke out at the factory in Karnagop area of the upazila on Thursday (July 8) at 6:30 pm. In this, 18 units of fire service including Demra and Kanchan worked to extinguish the fire. At least 52 people have been killed in the blaze. At least 50 people were injured.
Meanwhile, the bodies of 49 of the dead were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Of them, autopsy of 47 people has been completed till Friday night. Relatives of 18 people have given DNA samples to identify the bodies.
