Own Correspondent, Dhaka, Sept 28: Parliamentary Standing Committee President R A M Ubaidul Moktadir Chowdhury commented that Sundarbans' tigers are moving to India.

He said, many people do not know about this matter. Many people think that there is only Sundarbans in Bangladesh. But they don't know that there is a Sundarbans (a part of Sundarbans) in India's West Bengal too. Bangladeshi tigers are moving to India, which is very alarming.

He said these at a discussion meeting organized at Agargaon Tourism Bhaban in the capital on Tuesday (September 27) on the occasion of World Tourism Day.

Ubaidul Moktadir Chowdhury said, "Do you know that the number of tigers is decreasing day by day? The main reason for this is that tigers are migrating to the Sundarbans in West Bengal. Our tiger population is decreasing here, increasing in West Bengal."

He said that enough money should be allocated to this sector to keep tourism alive. Then we would have gone a little further in the tourism sector. Actually but in reality, it is an art. This industry should be promoted.

"There are more negative views about tourism in our country. More negative than positive. For this, a positive attitude should be highlighted. Everything associated with tourism seems to be bad. In fact, this is not the case. If the government is a little sincere, it is possible to take this sector further," added Ubaidul Moktadir Chowdhury.
