Dhaka, March 26: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is further strengthening relations between the two countries.

He made the remarks while addressing a function at the National Parade Ground on Friday (March 26) to mark the golden jubilee of independence and the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Narendra Modi said, ‘This affection of all of you is one of the most precious moments of my life. I am happy that you have included me in this important phase of Bangladesh's development journey. '

Narendra Modi thanked President Mohammad Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for inviting him to the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh's independence, he congratulated the people of Bangladesh on behalf of himself and the people of India.
