Toll Collection Tk 2.75 crore toll collected on Bangabandhu Bridge in 24 hours
Dhaka, April 29: In the last 24 hours, between Thursday and Friday, 33,734 vehicles have crossed the Bangabandhu Bridge in 24 hours. The total toll collected amounted to Tk 2.77 crore.
Ahsanul Kabir Bappi, executive engineer of Bangabandhu Bridge Site Office, said a total of 33,734 vehicles crossed the border on Thursday morning. Of these, 18,907 vehicles have crossed Bangabandhu Bridge East Toll Plaza and 14,827 vehicles at West Toll Plaza. A total of 2 crore 77 lakh 29 thousand 500 taka was collected.
Of this, Tk 1 crore 38 lakh 85 thousand 950 has been collected from the east toll plaza of the bridge and Tk 1 crore 38 lakh 43 thousand 550 taka has been collected from the west plaza.
Executive Engineer Ahsanul Kabir Bappi further said that after the inauguration of Bangabandhu Bridge, 52,006 vehicles crossed the bridge last Eid, which is a record for the highest number of vehicles crossed so far.
