Dhaka, April 4: Toll will also be collected on regional roads. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered the concerned to take necessary measures for this. Planning Minister MA Mannan said that the Prime Minister gave this directive at the meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday.
Highlighting the instructions of the Prime Minister, the Planning Minister said that the Prime Minister has asked to take necessary measures to collect tolls on regional highways.
Regarding the matter, Planning Department Secretary Satyajit Karmakar said that the Chief Secretary raised the issue in the meeting that thousands of crores of rupees are being constructed.
