Tripura CM to send pineapples after receiving mangoes from PM Hasina

Dhaka, July 6: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sent mangoes as gift to Biplab Kumar Deb, the Chief Minister of the Indian border state of Tripura. The mango sent by the Prime Minister has already been handed over to the Deb. After receiving the mango, the Indian minister has announced to send the famous Queen Variety Pineapple of Tripura for Bangabandhu's daughter.

The Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala, India said in a message on Monday (July 5th).

It said that when 300 kg of mangoes reached the Akhaura border on Monday (July 5) morning, it was received at the zero point of the border by Bangladesh Assistant High Commissioner to the Indian state of Tripura Mohammad Jobaid Hossain.

On the same afternoon, the Assistant High Commissioner paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb at his office and formally handed over the mangoes.

The Chief Minister of Tripura accepted the gift and thanked the Prime Minister for the gift.

He lauded the economic development of Bangladesh under the leadership of the Prime Minister. At the same time the Chief Minister announced to send the famous Queen Variety Pineapple of Tripura as a gift to the Prime Minister Hasina. Rezaul Haque Chowdhury, First Secretary of the Assistant High Commission was present at the time.
