Road Accident Truck accident kills three motorcyclists in Tangail
Dhaka, November 11: Three motorcyclists were killed when a truck hit them in Tangail. The accident took place in Daspara area of Nagarpur upazila on the Tangail-Aricha regional highway late on Tuesday (November 10).
The deceased were identified as Akhter Sunny, 18, son of Abdul Barek of Banalia village under Delduar upazila, Mamta Hira Sukarna, 15, daughter of Abdul Mannan of Kagmara village under Tangail municipality and Bappi, 22, son of Mostafa of Kortia village under Tangail Sadar upazila.
Nagarpur Police OC (Investigation) Bahalul Khan said they were believed to be fleeing on a motorcycle late at night due to a love affair.
Preparations are underway to recover the bodies of the deceased and take them to Delduar police station. The driver escaped but the deadly truck was seized.
