Dhaka, July 9: General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader said that the United States and the European Union (EU) have never talked about caretaker government. After inspecting the construction work of Dhaka Elevated Expressway on Saturday, he told the reporters in response to a question in Tejgaon.

Obaidul Quader said that our government has had open discussions with the representatives of the United States and the European Union. We have told them that the election will be free as per the constitution. In all the meetings we have had with America and the European Union, they never said to bring a caretaker government, they never said that the Prime Minister should resign, they never said to dissolve the Parliament. There will be a pretty credible election as per our constitution.

The minister also said that we have informed them that we will conduct a transparent election. The Prime Minister himself has informed that according to the constitution the elections will be transparent and free. Obaidul Quader said in response to journalists' questions about the arrival of the US and European Union delegation to Bangladesh that the US delegation is not coming for election-related matters. They are coming to know the situation of Rohingyas. And the EU delegation is coming to see how the observer team will monitor the elections.

In response to the questions of the journalists, he further said that the feasibility study of the outer circular around the capital is going on. Awami League government is the first in the country to build Bangabandhu Tunnel, Metro Rail, Padma Bridge, Expressway in Chittagong. If the Awami League returns to power in the next election, the outer circular and other plans will be implemented on time.

Meanwhile, the general secretary of Awami League said about the one-phase movement of 32 parties including BNP, the collapse of the one-phase movement is inevitable in the unity of this mess of 32 parties. The goal with which this unity of chaos will result is intolerable.

Obaidul Quader said, the government will remain as it is. Not even a wave could wake up. Who is the leader of their movement? Will the ship run without a captain? This jumble of unity changes from point to point. There is no guarantee that these 32 teams will survive or not. Earlier there were 54 teams. The collapse of this messy unity is inevitable. Nuru and Reza Kiberia are not together. See what happens next.
