Dhaka, July 2: It has been 7 years since the terrorist attack on Holey Artisan Bakery in Gulshan of the capital. In the morning, officials of various embassies assigned to Bangladesh paid tribute to the deceased.

On Saturday (July 1) morning, Indian High Commissioner Pranay Kumar Verma first paid his respects with flowers at the temporary altar in front of the building at Plot No. 79 in Gulshan. Then Japanese Ambassador Itonaoki paid tribute. Apart from this, the officials of the Italian and US embassies also paid tribute to the victims by offering flowers in memory of the victims. The main gate of Holey Artisan was closed around 10 am after the embassy officials paid their respects.

On July 1, 2016, 23 people including 9 Italians, 7 Japanese citizens, 1 Indian citizen, 3 Bangladeshi citizens and two police officers were killed in the terrorist attack on Holy Artisan and Kitchen Restaurant, Plot No. 5, Road No. 79, Gulshan 2 of the capital. . Later, 5 militants were killed in the Army's Operation Thunder Bold.

After the terrorist attack on Holey Artisan, police and RAB conducted 27 anti-terrorist operations across the country. 73 people were killed in it.
