Toll Collection Vehicle movement increases on Bangabandhu Bridge, Toll of Tk 3.25 crore collected in a single day
Dhaka, June 28: Traffic pressure on Bangabandhu Bridge has increased several times due to Eid-ul-Azha. A total of 42 thousand 560 vehicles have crossed the bridge in the last 24 hours. A toll of 3 crore 25 lakh 51 thousand 450 taka has been collected.
On Tuesday, Bangabandhu Bridge Side Office Executive Engineer Md. Ahsanul Kabir Pavel said that the bridge authority has collected Tk 3 crore 25 lakh 51 thousand 450 tolls from 6 am on Monday to 6 am on Tuesday. Against this, 42 thousand 560 vehicles have crossed. Out of this, 24 thousand 817 vehicles crossed at the east toll plaza of the bridge.
One crore 66 lakh 94 thousand 900 taka was collected in this toll and 17 thousand 743 vehicles crossed at the western toll plaza of the bridge. On the contrary, the toll collected is 1 crore 58 lakh 56 thousand 550 taka.
The executive engineer also said that toll is being collected at a total of 18 booths east and west of the bridge to keep the traffic normal.
