Pirojpur Road Accident 7 killed in bus-easybike-motorcycle collision in Pirojpur
Dhaka, March 8: Seven people, including two women, were killed in a collision between a bus, an easy bike and a motorcycle in Pirojpur Sadar Upazila. Ten people were injured in the accident.
The accident took place on Parerhat road in Jhautla area of the upazila around 12:15 pm on Friday (March 8).
Pirojpur Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Ashikuzzaman confirmed the incident.
The deceased have been identified as Swapan Howladar, Md. Hemayet, Khairul, Naeem, Mansura Begum, Jesmin and Alamgir.

Md. Salim Mia, Deputy Director of Pirojpur Fire Service and Civil Defence said, “A passenger bus leaving Pirojpur in the afternoon was going towards Parerhat. On the way, the bus was dropping passengers at Jhowtala. At that time another passenger bus leaving from Pirojpur towards Indurkani crossed the bus. When the bus tried to sidestep an easybike and a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction, the three vehicles collided.”

He said that four people died on the spot and three others died on the way to the district headquarters hospital. Ten more people were injured in this incident.
The fire service official said that some seriously injured people have been sent to different hospitals in Khulna and Barisal.
